Life on Earth depends on healthy soils. As the foundation of our food systems, it also provides clean water and habitats for biodiversity while contributing to climate resilience. However, it needs to be carefully managed for future generations.

The EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” aims to lead the transition towards healthy soils by 2030. DeliSoil, a Horizon Europe research project, is working to support this by transforming food industry byproducts into soil improvers.

Living Labs & Lighthouses

DeliSoil will develop and test innovative technologies and practices in five Regional Living Labs, working together with various stakeholders to provide cost effective solutions that efficiently convert byproducts from different food processing and production industries into tailored soil enhancers.
